The mighty and powerful PSVita ! All Hail ! "it also goes by Benny"

As of last week i purchased the new Play Station Vita, me being a “Sony boy”, yes, they may suck at times but every company does (Microsoft) and it tends to just be a matter of opinion in the end.

I’ve only owned the VITA for about a week now, i have no games and only have played demos and still this handheld has simply blown me away, from the second i turned it on and saw the beautiful 5′ Inch OLED screen with its qHD display, too this very second, it just has so much potential. The vita has some new features that caught my eye right away, The REAR touch pad , the Front and Back cameras, The 5 inch display, the touch screen, The six axis tilt motion control, the augmented reality, the Dual analog sticks, The dual processors. This thing was looking like a high quality piece hardware. So after a couple months of debating it i got the 3DS… then i decided wow this sucks, so i got the vita and again Sony wins hands down. The PSVita Comes in two models the simple $250 WiFi which includes NOTHING but the handheld and the charger. And the $300 WiFi/3G version which includes the handheld, A 8GB memory card, A SIM card , and a free game ( stardust + ) after your first month purchase of 3G connectivity. The 3G model is a great deal considering you get a free $40 memory card with it. For you tech savvy readers here are the tech specs (courtesy of Wikipedia):

This hand held without any video games has still made it self well worth the $300 i coughed up for it. One of my favorite capabilities would is the cross play between the PS3 and the VITA as of this very second there is only a few select titles that are actually capable of this (MLB the show, Hustler pool) But as this year progresses A LOT of titles will become cross play, GRAND THEFT AUTO 5 ! By far one of my favorite features i have discovered would be the way i can play my own mp3′s while in game or on the web or doing anything, and the way i can simple hit the home button change a song then jump right back into my game in seconds. The line up right now is a little lacking but do not forget it was just released not even 3 months ago. But these upcoming years are looking very promising for the vita with titles like CALL OF DUTY, KILL ZONE, LITTLE BIG PLANET, SILENT HILL, GRAND THEFT AUTO 5, METAL GEAR SOLID HD COLLECTION, RESISTANCE. I must WARN you though the PSVita has Absolutely  NO internal memory, meaning that without the purchase of a memory card you can not PLAY DEMOS or games, DOWNLOAD VIDEOS, PLAY MUSIC, or anything that actually makes this a play station (WHICH IS THE REASON WHY THE $300 one is so much better; 8GB memory card). I have had absolutely no complaints about it so far except very rarely it will freeze up or not respond for some reason, but i think that’s because the firm ware is still new and needs more tweaks besides it’s nothing a hard reset wont fix (holding down the power button for 30′s)

In the end i can say that this hand held if you can afford it, is well worth it, it dominated the 3DS in every way THE 3DS cant even compare in a single way.

Again i must warn you, you will need a VITA memory card which can be pricey so pick up the $300 version and save your self some scratch.

10/10 without a doubt worth every penny it is my child whom i love more then anything <3.  (I Named it Benny aka Codex)
